When I make my designs with the pen tool, it fills in with the default color, so I can’t make a design.

never mind!!! i got it!!! i had to go select “pen pressure” in “control” under “shape dynamics”.

@49: Yep, in the brushes palette, make sure that the “Shape Dynamics” box is checked and the “control” drop-down box is set to “pen pressure.”
